Ayahuasca Retreat Brazil Ancestral Amazonian Indigenous Healing Retreat
9-Day Ayahuasca Ceremony Immersion with Madhá & Yawanawá
24th September – 3rd October 2026
A deep encounter with the ancestral wisdom
of the living forest traditions of the Amazon
24. september – 03. october 2026
Join this 9-day retreat in Brazil and immerse yourself in a journey of deep presence, guided by respected wisdom holders and cultural guardians from the Madhá and Yawanawá peoples. The Madhá people came into contact with the outside world only about 40 years ago and continue to preserve rare ancestral knowledge that has remained deeply intact despite the impacts of colonization. This is a unique opportunity to engage with living Indigenous traditions in their authentic context.
You will be welcomed by Pajé Maná Madhá, Pajé Ratsuha Madhá, Grandmother Vêsku Yawanawá and Runuiana Yawanawá.
Set in the natural beauty of southern Brazil, this Madhá – Yawanawá immersion offers an intimate encounter with living Indigenous lineages. It’s an invitation to connect directly with Indigenous wisdom keepers, spiritual leaders and cultural guardians from the Brazilian Amazon, whose songs, ceremonies, healing traditions and teachings continue to be carried forward through generations.
Through sacred chants (Saitis), ceremony, Indigenous musicality and time in the Atlantic Forest, participants are gently guided into deeper presence, clarity and reconnection with life itself. Plant medicine practices and moments of reflection are woven into this process, supporting a gradual unfolding into greater awareness and inner alignment.
A deep encounter with the wisdom of the Amazon rainforest
Guided by Pajé Maná Madhá, Pajé Ratsuha Madhá, Vêsku Yawanawá, and Runuiana Yawanawá, this immersive retreat creates space for deep healing, personal insight, and inner transformation. It offers an opportunity to step beyond the rhythms of everyday life, gain new perspectives, reconnect with what truly matters, and experience Indigenous wisdom in a grounded and authentic way.
What you will experience
- Ayahuasca ceremonies with the Madhá and Yawanawá people
- Traditional plant-based practices from the rainforest (herbal baths, Rapé, Kambo, Sananga)
- Individual healing sessions with experienced Pajés
- Indivdual Sesions / Voice opening
- Dedicated space for silence, integration, and personal process
- Community living and connection with nature
Individual Healing Work & Voice Opening
A dedicated part of this immersion includes personal one-to-one sessions with Pajé Mana Madhá.
These encounters offer space for focused individual attention within the context of the journey, working with physical, emotional, or spiritual imbalances through traditional approaches.
Voice Opening is also part of this work. In this practice, the “Espírito da Voz” – the Spirit of the Voice – is transmitted as a subtle, supportive presence, like a seed of potential.
This practice is said to support the unfolding and expansion of both the inner and outer voice, allowing expression to emerge with greater clarity, strength, and authenticity. At the same time, it offers a more refined access to the teachings of the Saitis/Ahié and can support a deeper understanding and lived experience of these traditions.

The guides of ancestral wisdom

Pajé Maná Madhá
Pajé Maná Madhá received the name “Santo” from his own people, which already reveals much about his noble mission in service of healing. As explained by Putanny and Biraci Nixiwaká, leaders of the Yawanawá, Maná and his wife Ratsuhá are considered “ people from 500 years ago” and “kings” of spirituality. Maná has received a traditional training that only very few pajés still possess today. He holds extraordinary knowledge of plants and a technique of spiritual healing that, in some cases, allows him to take the illness of his patients into his mouth and materialize it into small stones, which he then spits out. He has already healed many people from severe illnesses – both physical andspiritual.

Ratsuhá Madhá
Ratsuhá Madhá has also received a traditional training that only a few healers carry today. She is deeply rooted in traditional midwifery knowledge and has accompanied more than 2,800 births. Together
with her husband, she works in healing sessions according to the Madhá tradition – a people
who live deep in the rainforest and were therefore able to preserve much of their ancestral knowledge, as contact with the outside world happened only recently.

Vesku Yawanawá
Vesku is Yawanawá and lives in the village of the Apurinã people. She is co-founder of the Instituto Runyn. She has dedicated her life to the resistance movement of Indigenous peoples and, in recent years, has focused especially on preserving the healing knowledge of Indigenous medicine. She is the eldest sister of the spiritual leader Putanny and shares with her the connection to their grandfather, a great healer of the Yawanawá. Vesku is a member of the Sitoakore Women’s Organisation and served for many years on its board, being a driving force in the Indigenous women’s rights movement. She has organized numerous gatherings for the exchange of Indigenous knowledge – always with the intention of spreading and protecting traditional plant medicine knowledge. In her home, she is building an apothecary for medicinal plants as well as a seed bank. She also carries extensive knowledge about birth.

Runuiná Yawanawá
Runuiná carries in his name the secret of the great healing beings of the forest. He is the grandson of the great leader Raimundo Luiz Tuimkuru and the son of Vesku Yawanawá and Antonio Apurinã, two
important leaders of the Indigenous movement.
For more than ten years, he has been a student of Pajé Maná, learning prayers, chants, and traditional healing arts from him. His aunt Putanny and Biraci Nixiwaká have also taught him in the Aldeia Sagrada
(Sacred Village). Runuiná is a very talented musician with a unique voice. He composes his own songs by transferring the traditional Saitis of Pajé Maná – originally recited exclusively with the voice –onto the guitar
