Autonomous living & sustainability
Autonomy, an essential component of fulfilment. It’s the liberty to make decisions about your own path in life and the way in which tasks are completed. Finding the path to self-determination and becoming independent is not just important for our emotional part. Self-determination can also take place at different levels. This also involves a convinced inner attitude.
We asked ourselves the question, what could our independent daily lifestyle look like? What does self-sufficient living mean to us? Living self-sufficiently and sustainability go hand in hand. Organising your own life in such a way that it is not at the expense of nature. Using the earth’s treasures consciously. We should not consume more than can grow back. Show consideration for future generations, who are our children and grandchildren today.
Sustainability
In Harmony with nature
Crafts, solar power and natural materials
Clay house
Environmentally friendly and economical
The building materials for our innovative Retreat Centre are mainly clay, straw and wood. The centre is energy self-sufficient, environmentally friendly and free of toxins. The concept: natural materials, local resources such as recycled wood, a large part of the earth comes from our own property.
… provide themselves with as many essentials as possible
handmade soap
vegan and biodegradable
We use soaps that are biologically degradable, without chemical or other environmentally harmful additives. We are happy to provide our guests with our homemade soaps for their own use.
Would you like to make your own soap? We will be happy to show you how to make your own personalised soap in simple steps. A beautiful and useful little memory that you can take home with you.
Handmade with heart and passion
In today’s society, we are surrounded by mass production. Traditional labour has been replaced by machines, most of which do not produce environmentally friendly manufacturing processes. Products have lost their unique character and are lost in the masses.
Making things with our hands is a natural human instinct. Handcraft expresses our versatility and originality. Handwork is not only creative, but can also be very therapeutic. Slow down, make mistakes and in the end hold a tangible result in your hands. Small irregularities that prove that human hands have made something are charming. It makes the product original and unique.
A lifestyle that is in harmony with natural rhythms and cycles.
A self-sufficient lifestyle also requires a considerable amount of time.
We try to produce what we can ourselves.
